aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for therapeutic benefit. These essential oils are highly concentrated, volatile plant extracts that carry beneficial properties and natural scents from the plants they are derived from. Using the information you have given me I will chose a blend of essential oils most appropriate for the treatment outcome we have agreed. Our most primitive sense is that of smell so it’s vital that the aroma of the blend is one that the client can connect with.

I use organic essential oils for all massage treatments unless the client has specifically asked me not to (something which rarely happens). Aromatherapy can also be combined with reflexology and is a great way to support and enhance the treatment.

I make bespoke products for clients as part of a treatment plan or as a stand alone after an in-depth consultation.

massage

I really believe in the power of touch. It is vital that we receive non-reciprocal touch to thrive as human beings.

I have trained with a variety of schools all providing their unique way of teaching. My treatments incorporate all of this learning to give you the treatment you want. I use the verbal and non-verbal information you provide me to work with you to release any physical and/or emotional tension you may be holding. We may decide that a full body treatment or a treatment focused on a specific area will work best for you.

I believe a treatment is a conversation between client and therapist in which the client finds a way to express themselves as fully as possible.

reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic therapy that aims to bring about balance by stimulating the client’s own innate healing processes. The application of pressure to reflexology points on the client’s feet (or hands) aims to stimulate the nerve and circulatory pathways within the body. This pressure can have a corresponding effect on the organs or body systems linked by these pathways. A reflexology treatment encourages the release of emotional and physical tension caused by everyday stresses and strains, allowing for energy to flow freely throughout the body.

You can benefit from reflexology in many ways including simple relaxation (never underestimate the huge benefit of relaxation), releasing tension, improving sleep, increasing wellbeing and improving mood.

After a consultation we agree on the focus for the treatment. I use the verbal and non-verbal information you provide me to work with you to release any physical and/or emotional tension you may be holding. It maybe that a course of sessions in quick succession will be of most benefit to you or you might come less regularly for top ups.
